# 76 Tyson's Corner

Right next to one of my favorite shopping spots; Tyson's Corner is a breakfast club that is located at the Tower Club on the 17th floor of Tower Place, with sweeping views of the area.  The club was very welcoming and interested in  my mission.  President Denise, shared the clubs objectives and highlighted the Monte Carlo night fund raiser, a very successful event held with other clubs in Northern Virginia.  I love seeing clubs working on Joint projects.  The club is also working with other clubs for a joint water project in Africa.  The meal was good and  the company at my table was even better.

This club is home to the Charter District Governor, Bish… who was Governor when District 761 spilt creating 7610.  He is a delightful gentleman whom I met at our last District Conference.

The speaker John   from the Junior Achievements Financial Park Center reviewed the newly opened center with us.  What a great opportunity for the middle grade students to learn financial literacy in middle school rather than waiting until they are seniors. The facility located at one of the Fairfax county Public school’s campus offers all 8th graders the chance to go through the program.  The Tyson’s Corner Club has offered to help out by volunteering for a day to work with the students.  Our Club does this during our high school’s senior seminar.
The club has their happy dollars going to Polio Plus.

Meal $13
