The
driving to locations has been an exaggerated amount of time many days 5 hours each way most with a minimum of 2 hours, which has been wearing on all. The Calcutta club moved this meeting closer to our lodging to reduce our drive time, bringing it down to just 1 hour. As with most clubs the Calcutta Central club meets in the evening, we were given a review the Polio situation in West Bengal and in particular Murshidabad, the site of the sub-national immunization day. The presentation was concise and very relevant to our purpose. The meal was delicious and we exchanged banners. The club offered gifts of Rotary shirts and glasses. I presented the club with their certificate at which time they committed to add $1,000 to Polio Plus for the 200/200, additionally a past president pledged another $1000. I am completely in awe of their generosity.
