# 47 Norfolk Sunrise (7600)
What a view from the meeting room of the Norfolk-Sunrise club; the view of the harbor is spectacular. This breakfast club is smaller in number, but large is hospitality. The presentation was from the Norfolk Sister City Association. What a great concept; they pair up with like cities around the globe for vocational and cultural understanding. As a traveler at heart, I love meeting people from other areas and learning about their culture and fostering friendship.
Keeping in mind a healthy start in the morning, I opted for the steel cut Oatmeal and a small muffin. But I must say the eggs to order look very enticing. The Norfolk Zoo is one area of community service for this group and they have a planting project scheduled for Nov 13th. So if there are any gardeners looking for something to do on the 13th, they will welcome the extra help. There are a lot of good service projects going on this date with many clubs.
I like the "Rotarian of the Day" concept, we are similar with the member in charge of the speaker and invocation. Unlike our club, Norfolk-Sunrise does a write up in the newsletter about this member, nice touch!
At the conclusion of the meeting a masted sailboat came by with all hands on deck. It was great to watch. Leaving the area I hit a bridge opening...it was the same ship. Unfortunately the ship does not show up in the photo behind club members and guest speakers.
Meal: $15
