#57 RLI Richmond (zone 33)

The Richmond RLI was held at J Sargent Reynolds CC, with about 40 Rotarians signed up, most from District 7600.  It was great to see many familiar faces from my travels to the clubs.  I was signed up to facilitate 3 classes; Leadership Strategies, Membership Recruitment and Analyzing a Rotary Club.  The first class Leadership Strategies was for Part III and was a double session.  This group was made up of one club president, one PE and one membership chair.  With only 3 in this class it was a very relaxed and easygoing.  We did several different activities to address leadership styles and the differences/similarities of a small club versus a large club.  And of course, I brought Legos to the class, in an activity showing  communication skills.  The Legos have become a trademark of my facilitation activities.

The later classes were both for part II participants  and the interaction between this larger group, 13 in  total was perfect.  With ten clubs represented it was a great opportunity for the rotarians to learn from each other; what works in their clubs, ideas for projects, what they would change and overall comparisons.  I am confident that each learned something from another that they can take back to their club.

We had 3 participants in Part II graduated and I pinned Ann and yes you will see Chester Bacon from the Chester club was there to promote Polio Plus.
